David G Shrock grew up in the Pacific Northwest where he constantly annoyed his parents with questions. “Why,” he asked. His mother often told him because she said so. “Why is the sky blue?” His parents bought him a set of encyclopedias that he studied pointing out the poor quality of information. The explanation of gravity left a dissatisfied lump in his gut. So, they introduced him to the library. David has been reading about the universe ever since. And asking questions.
The questions never end.
David G Shrock currently works as software developer for MotiveQuest by day where he creates data mining algorithms and other tools helping analyst answer the difficult questions. MotiveQuest seeks the reasons why, perfect for the curious kid constantly asking the nagging question.
At night David writes speculative fiction, or more accurately, the weird things in his head. Many of his stories take place in the world of Draco Torre, an alternate history to our own. David’s other interests include bicycling and astronomy. A bicycle carries him to work during the week and bounding through the mountains on weekends.
